My workplace are very used to my southeastern tales. Because I spend (on a good week) about 20 hours a week on travelling to work alone its inevitable that I will end up getting some great stories out of what happens on these journeys.
For instance, the women that didn't just faint, but fainted one step onto the train. The women who ran to catch the train who put her empty buggy on and then ran back to the car park for the baby and the child. But thursday night was the best one. We were stuck at Borough Green and Wrothem to be exact. we all groaned at the overhead voice, waiting to hear the dreaded, signal failure to instead hear about a passenger being taken ill. My first thought? "What is it about West Malling Station?"
We barely waited in the grand scheme of things to when the whistle was blown and the voice came back overhead. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, we apologise for the wait. We have just heard that the Ambulance is now on scene and a young woman has just given birth to a baby girl."
Needless to say everyone in my carriage sort of turned to each other at the same time, staring like, 'what just happened?' crazy journey indeed . . .
